GLENN D. NEGEN

OVERVIEW

Sgt. Glenn Negen has been a police officer with the Willmar Police Department for over thirty-one (31) years.  Sgt. Negen is a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S. Navy's Inshore Undersea Warfare Groups 1 & 2.  Sgt. Negen currently holds Black Belts in Judo, Jutitsu, Taekwondo, Hakko Ryu Jujitsu, Sombo and has been the head of the Willmar Judo Club for over 29 years.  Sgt. Negen teaches Defensive Tactics, PPCT Training, Officer Survival, Firearms Training, SWAT Training and Executive/Witness Protection.  He has been providing these courses for Law Enforcement, Corrections and Private Security.

In addition, Sgt. Negen has conducted SAEDA (Subversion and Espionage Against the Army) for the U.S. Army Reserve and Minnesota National Guard.  He also provides Violence in the Workplace, and SHARP (Sexual Harassment, Assualt & Rape Prevention) Training for students on campus and employees in the corporate workplace.

Sgt. Negen has been teaching for 17 years in the Law Enforcement Department at Ridgewater College, Alexandria Technical College, Dakota County Technical College and Southwestern Minnesota Technical College.  He has been instructing in the following specifics:  PR-24, Monadnock Defensive Tactics, Monadnock Expandable Baton, PPCT Defensive Tactics, PPCT Spontaneous Knife Defense, PPCT Pressure Point & Control Tactics, PPCT Impact Weapons, PPCT SHARP Training, Basic SWAT Training, Officer Survival Training, Executive/Witness Protection Training, Neck Restraints Instructor, Posse Comitatus, Emergency Response To Terrorism, Clandestine Drug Labs Awareness, Firearms Training (Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle), Violence In The Workplace, Right Wing Extremists Groups, and Incident Response To A Terrorist Bombing Awareness.

Sgt. Negen has been an active member of the United States Judo Association, the United State Martial Arts Association, Special Operations Training Association, Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, and the Willmar Police and Peace Officer Association.

EXPERT WITNESS

Sgt. Negen has been called upon to be an Expert Witness in the Use of Force cases, in court litigation in the Federal Court, as well as State District Civil and Criminal Courts.
